The Site of Big Shoulders (www.sobs.org) seeks interns to help us publish our unique online arts magazine.  Gain hours toward your cooperative education credits and build your resume while receiving valuable training and experience from seasoned Web professionals in a highly creative environment.

The Site of Big Shoulders is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that publishes original art, writing, music, photography and other media that has a connection to the greater Chicago area by virtue of authorship or subject matter.  We have been on the Web since 1996, growing year-to-year in community interest and Web traffic (regularly exceeding 100,000 page views per month).  The Site of Big Shoulders operates in both a virtual office environment and in our dedicated production facilities in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago.

Successful internship candidates will bring initiative and experience that spans Web design, Web production, editorial publishing and/or online communications.  We require our interns to meet established production goals and hourly requirements in order to receive course credit.
