The Site of Big Shoulders is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit online publication dedicated to showcasing original creative content from the greater Chicago area.  We present compelling photography, visual art, writing and music in an editorial magazine format freely available at the Web address http://sobs.org.

SOBS content comes from Internet-based submissions and contributions solicited by our all-volunteer staff.  We base editorial publishing decisions on the content’s artistic, literary and social merits — never on its commercial viability or mass appeal.  Professional-level online production and publishing systems both showcase content and make it as accessible as possible to our international Internet audience.

All donations to SOBS are tax-deductible, as The Site of Big Shoulders is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Donations are currently used to cover costs for producing and hosting the high-quality content that SOBS provides.
